WHAT AERSPIRE IS
AERspire provides an aesthetic solar energy solution that combines roofing and energy generation. The entire roof surface is filled with glass-glass elements, most of which are active and therefore generating energy. The remaining roof surface is covered with passive elements that look the same but don’t generate energy.
AERspire provides a total solution. A modular construction of elements and available ridge, gutter and side finishes which guarantees a suitable solution for your project in line with your wishes.
We contribute ideas from the preliminary design phase on and take responsibility until commissioning, both for newly build and renovation projects.
AERSPIRE VISION
Our world currently faces an enormous energy transition. In the near future, renewable energy will be our main source of energy. Solar energy will be the most important one in our building environment. The focus will shift towards aesthetic integrated solutions which are ready-made building elements.
The founders, Esther Philipse and Alfred van Hese, were surprised that there were no attractive solar energy solutions of affordable quality on the market for many years. Drawing on their decades-long experience in the industry, they started developing an innovative concept in 2012 which led to the foundation of AERspire in 2013.
Their objective was to develop an easy, high-quality solution integrated into the building envelope, becoming the building envelope. In order to obtain a homogeneous aesthetic look, the product had to cover the whole roof area. Above all, the roof had to be affordable. This solution has been called AER, the ‘Aesthetic Energy Roof’.
