With the project at the Karel de Grotelaan in Eindhoven (the Netherlands), AERspire has won the first place in a competition for the most attractive solar energy project in the Netherlands. The competition was written by ENSOC, the online platform for energy professionals. The public could vote for a pre-selection of 10 nominees, amongst others an AERspire application. With just over 50% of the votes, AERspire has won the first prize.
The winning project is located at the Karel de Grotelaan in Eindhoven. AERspire has provided fourteen terraced houses with a roof-filling solar system that looks sleek and that makes regular roofing unnecessary. The terraced houses are part of the Genderdal project, which should become the most sustainable neighborhood in Eindhoven. The project was realized by AERspire and Heijmans on behalf of housing association Stichting Woonbedrijf SWS Hhvl. Architectural firm Van Helmond & Zuidam made the design of the houses.
